Winter Program

Due to low participation in this season’s events, no programs are planned at this time. We understand that some people prefer to support AZNPS through their annual memberships and may not want to attend scheduled activities. We welcome and appreciate this kind of participation. However, we would like to know what kinds of offerings members would attend. Some possibilities include: field trips focusing on natural history of plants in specific plant communities (e.g., grassland, chaparral, forest, etc.), plant identification workshops (beginning to advanced), community gardening projects using native plants, lectures on specific topics of interest, etc. We would also like to know what days of the week and what times are preferable. We have provided a mix of weekend and weekday events.

2008 ARIZONA BOTANISTS MEETING
Mark your calendars! The Arizona Botanists Meeting is February 9, 2008 at the Desert Botanical Garden in Phoenix, with field trips on the 10th. We are finalizing the program so check the DBG website for information regarding program, field trips, and registration. There will be a silent auction featuring some valuable and rare botany books, so bring your cash and checkbooks! The winter AZNPS board meeting, open to all members, will be Friday, February 8 from 9:00-12:00.
